Within the Operational Program "Environmental Protection" 2007-2013, in March 2015, Vodoopskrba i odvodnja d.o.o. concluded the Grant Agreement for the implementation of the project "Construction of the Aleja Bologne-Lisičina main water supply pipeline", following the project proposal within the "Restricted call for proposals EN.2.1.16 - Financing the implementation of investment projects related to smaller sections of the public water supply/drainage system ", which was announced by the Croatian Ministry of Agriculture in May 2015.
The project is funded by the European Union - Cohesion Fund in the amount of 64.4%, by Vodoopskrba i odvodnja d.o.o. in the amount of 10%, and by Hrvatske vode in the amount of 25.6%.
The project encompasses the construction of the Aleja Bologne-Lisičina main water supply pipeline, cadastral municipality Podsused, of the ČE DN 700 mm profile and 1.67 km long.
The purpose of constructing the main water supply pipeline concerned is to connect the existing DN 700 mm water supply pipeline in Huzjanova Street and the DN 700 water supply pipeline in Aleja Bologne (at Blanje Street) to achieve continuous and reliable water supply to the Stenjevec District and a section of the Podsused-Vrapče District, thereby securing water supply for approximately 62,800 inhabitants. In addition, the above contributes to better system energy efficiency.
